To appreciate the various levels and styles of English used in media publications. Newspaper English varies
according to the subject matter. To understand culture through language usage. |

To begin with journal comments on the preceeding week's news events. Featured news, magazine articles,
advertisements or video selections provided by the teacher, or perhaps by students on a voluntary basis. |
