科目名 英語コミュニケーションＢ  クラス ｌ  授業の概要 This course will provide students with a lot of opportunities to learn practical conversational English through a wide range of task activities : pair work, dialogue practice, group discussions and games.  授業の到達目標 The aim is to develop students' communicative skills in various authentic situations. Lesson contents will focus on more challenging topics and thought-provoking discussions, using new and more sophisticated grammar and vocabulary. Students are encouraged to think independently and express their own original ideas actively in class.  授業計画 回 内容 1 Ice−breaking : explaining course outline ; Self−introduction and getting to know each other  2 "What kind of person are you?" ; Self-analysis Finding out what personality traits you have in common with your classmates  3 Comparing families Describing rules and obligations in the past Speculating about past events  4 Making guesses about real-life unexplained events Exploring popular destinations  5 Comparing and contrasting information about places Discussing quality-of-life issues  6 "Early birds and night owls" ; Describing rountines and habits Talking about how to deal with stress  7 Discussing personal energy level and sleeping habits Interpreting dreams  8 Making small talk Discussing conversational styles and awkward social situations  9 Reported speech Recounting an interesting conversation  10 Talking about appropriate behavior in social situations "What's the real story?" ; Narrating events in chronological order  11 Presenting a recent news story Disussing personal opinions about the news  12 Group work : Creating a story with your classmates Presentation  13 "Information overload : A weird, wired world" Talking about how Internet trends affect you  14 Giving opinions on modern information technology Particpating in a debate  15 Review    テキスト・参考書及び自学自習についての情報 Handouts and supplementary materials will be distributed by the instructor (No textbook)  授業の形式 Pair work, role play, group discussions, etc.  評価の方法（評価の配点比率と評価の要点） "The more you practice, the more you improve" .
