授業の概要 (1) The course provides students with topic-based activities, laying particular stress on listening tasks and pronunciation drills.
(2) The course will cover basic background on the format and scoring of the TOEIC tests, the keys to high scores, listening comprehension skills and tactics for the reading section.
(3) Students will learn vocabulary and practice skills through topics, as the couse is topic-based.
(4) Grammar is also reviewed in every unit, mainly on a remedial basis. 
授業の到達目標 The dual goal of the course is:
(1) to chanllenge students to further develop their integrated skills in English with an emphasis on effective communication;
(2) to help them improve their TOEIC scores up to around 700 points. 
授業計画 Students will be expected to learn one unit a week.

自学自習についての情報 Students will be expected to regularly prepare and review the lessons alongside completing homework in the form of vocabulary development and language consolidation exercises contained on the attached self-study CD-ROM. 
授業の形式 "Jisshu" (Drills) 
評価の方法(評価の配点比率と評価の要点) ・Approx. 30% based on Ongoing Evaluation (consisting of Attendance, Participation and Discussions),
・20% on Homework, Quizzes, Papers, etc.,
・50% on a Final Semester-end Examination.  
その他 Class attendance is a course requirement. Students are allowed NO MORE THAN FIVE ABSENCES in the semester for any reason.
