Why now?    テキスト・参考書 15章版：ニュースメディアの英語―演習と解説2023年度版―（朝日出版社）   自学自習についての情報 担当者は発表の準備を入念に行い、その他の受講生は各章の Summary の問題を解答するとともに、記事に関連した裏話を読んでおくこと。  授業の形式 担当者による発表、受講生間の意見交換、教員の補足説明と問題演習。  アクティブラーニングに関する情報 模擬授業と意見交換を通して、授業に主体的・能動的に取り組む。  評価の方法（評価の配点比率と評価の要点） 中間・期末試験（80%）と、発表を通しての授業への貢献度、受講態度（20%）などから総合的に評価する。 単位認定には、全授業回数の2/3以上の出席が必要。  その他（授業アンケートへのコメント含む） 単なる英文解釈にとどまることなく、様々なジャンルの記事を通して、社会の諸現象を幅広くとらえる視野の育成を目指す。  担当講師についての情報（実務経験） 高等学校ならびに大学での長年の教職経験を活かして、わかりやすく、かつ深みのある授業を目指す。
